Introduction

The Royal Collections Gallery is the place where the fruits of patronage exercised by Spanish monarchs for more than five centuries rest. A unique showcase of beauty, culture and history brought together in a collection that has been part of Spain’s heritage for over a hundred years.

Today the Gallery opens its immense doors to all those companies, individuals and institutions that seek to become patrons by contributing to its sustainability and to the maintenance of this rich legacy that encompasses collections of paintings, sculptures, tapestries, carriages, armour, furniture, porcelain, musical instruments, glass, books... It is also the place where you can learn about and understand royal manufactures, the precedent of the unique craft creations for which Spain is known worldwide; and also the place to find out how artworks, historic buildings and natural spaces are preserved, restored and disseminated, thus transmitting the knowledge for the enjoyment of future generations.

Sponsorship

Becoming a sponsor, supporting the inauguration of the Gallery as an Event of Special Public Interest, booking its halls for meetings, receptions, conferences or presentations, private visits, or simply making contributions to the Gallery, are various ways in which to contribute to its sustainability and to participate in the most important cultural event of the last decades in Spain.

Corporate sponsorship may be provided for the following projects and activities:

  • Collections: paintings, sculptures, clocks, decorative arts, carriages, tapestries, and even the natural environment
  • Monuments and historical sites
  • Temporary exhibitions
  • Restorations
  • Educational programs and universal and digital accessibility
  • Cultural activities

The benefits programme for sponsoring companies seeks to promote their involvement in life at the Gallery and Royal Sites, the foundations and natural spaces managed by Patrimonio Nacional. The richness and excellence of the collections and the diverse nature of the institution's activity are intended to attract diverse visitors and cater to all interests: they constitute a unique and excellent opportunity for companies and institutions that seek to participate in its sustainability. They will be able to enjoy tailor-made experiences, in line with their policies for action or on corporate social responsibility.

Participate in this Event of Exceptional Public Interest (AEIP)

Institutions and persons that support projects related to the Inauguration of the Royal Collections Gallery will receive special benefits

Due to its significance, the inauguration of the Gallery has been declared an “Event of Exceptional Public Interest” (or AEIP in Spanish) in the fifty-ninth additional provision of the 2023 General State Budget Act. This means that collaborating in its endowment and activities will reward both corporate and private sponsors with especially interesting tax benefits.

This decision means that the tax benefits for sponsors of the Royal Collections Gallery shall be higher until December 2025, due to the additional benefits accrued from the status of the Gallery’s inauguration as an Event of Exceptional Public Interest.

Tax benefits derived from the consideration of an Event of Exceptional Public Interest are as follows:

  • For tax-free donations (donativos),taxable donations (donaciones) and contributions (in cash or in kind):

An additional 5% rebate on Corporation Tax (IS) /Personal Income Tax (IRPF) for tax-free donations (donativos),taxable donations (donaciones) and contributions made out to Patrimonio Nacional.

    Corporation Tax:

A general 40% (without membership) or 45% (with membership) rebate on the deduction base

40% (without membership) or 45% (with membership) rebate on the rest of the base.
